Change of Seasons

Autumn is my absolute favourite time of year, when else can you wear a scarf and sunglasses at the same time!? It is creeping up quickly this year and with a chill in the air and darker evenings already, I am now well and truly in nesting mode.

This time of year is a little bit like New Year for me, at the start of this season I reflect on the year so far and see what needs to be done before winter. I reassess objectives and priorities to make sure we as a business and family are on track and see what we can do differently.

On the personal side of things, this has resulted in Mr BV building a new storage shed, greenhouse and making a start to an outdoor seating area. Not to mention finally making a start on a play room indoors for our little one.

So what’s new on the work front….

As we are now down to the last 2 pop up shop dates for this year we’ve decided to promote some of the larger finished furniture projects online as “collection only”. This enables locals and visitors to the area to view our furniture pieces from the comfort of their own home and then we are more than happy to open by arrangement for these pieces to be viewed and/or collected.

“Collection Only” restored, upcycled and handpainted vintage furniture

Over winter we plan to continue with the furniture renovations, commissions and the sourcing & selling of all our usual vintage homewares online. We will then publish our new pop up shop dates for 2018 on our “shop” page here on the website once confirmed.

As always if you want to browse our vintage finds in person we are very happy to open by appointment.

I have also just finished white liming some oak drawers which are now up for grabs….what do you think? Message us for further details!

I hope to be able to share some more “how to” guides over the next few months as there are some larger furniture projects coming up that we are looking forward to getting stuck into.

So that’s it for now, have a great September and enjoy the change in seasons. We’re off to pick some apples to make a tasty crumble, another great reason why Autumn is the best season.

Oh..and don’t forget the next pop up shop is at the end of this month on Saturday 30th September, see you there!
