Blackboard Paint Ideas

We are at the stage of renovating the backroom into the pop up shop space so I really need to decide on the finishes and how the overall look is going to pull together.

I like the idea of using blackboard paint on a big wall area so we can write messages and information on products, this kind of thing….

This got me thinking about what other uses there are for blackboard paint that we can incorporate into some of our upcycling projects. Here are a few of our favourites…

First up for those of you with green fingers how about jazzing up some flower or herb pots and having somewhere to write their contents. Love this look, very french rustic!!

Next is a great idea, turning an old drawer into not only a blackboard but a shelf too, sounds odd but look at this….

I also adore the wallpaper which is basically pages from an old book.

If you like the bottles in this picture we have similar for sale in our Etsy store http://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/backroomvintagestore

Finally how about making your own blackboard a bit more interesting by making it out of a great piece of kitchenalia such as this rustic chopping board, used here as a menu.
